Ocean View - My wife and I were on a plane with a faulty engine once out of Philly to Cancun, luckily the pilot was extremely well seasoned (we happened to be put up in the same hotel and met the flight crew in the restaurant) the captain said while he was taxiing to the runway the right engine didn't sound/feel right, so when given clearance for take off he put the throttled at full ,right off the line (against training guidelines) and about 3-4 seconds later BOOM, he said to us it's way better to have an engine fail while your still on the ground, to this day I love that man
