Middle Township - Recent comments by Mayor Donohue are alarming. The appearance of lower infection rates in south Jersey counties are meaningless and using them as an argument to gradually reopen is scandalous. First, we are not sure the numbers reflect reality since only 1% of the population has been tested. Second, it doesn’t matter what south Jersey's infection rates are now. Vacationers are not coming from Cumberland and Atlantic counties. They are coming from Pennsylvania, New York, Canada and beyond. If the virus is not contained there it’s going to explode here. Just what we need come July 4th weekend.
