Villas - Are you a parent who talks negative about people in authority? I don't understand why a parent would set a bad example like that, but it happens quite often. I've heard parents talk badly about police, teachers and even God, not to mention their own elderly family members. If you are one of these people who influence your kids to disrespect people in authority, you are creating a big problem, not only for your kids, but yourself. The consequences of your behavior can cause teen dropouts, or even worse, criminal behavior. This is immature and hateful behavior on the part of the parent.
