Wildwood - Municipal employees do not want to live in the Wildwoods because the property taxes are so high. The reason taxes are so high is because their salaries and benefits are too high, and the number of employees are extreme for small, seasonal towns. Solution would be stop creating positions and hiring friends and double dipping, freeze salaries, and lay off some employees in winter when we know they are not needed. Then the budget will decrease and, in turn, our taxes get lower. Then we all can afford to live in the town where we work and would love to live.
