Has anyone else received a letter from the Crest to keep the ben

Wildwood Crest - Has anyone else received a letter from the Crest to keep the benches by the beach entrances they purchased several years ago in honor of loved ones? We got a letter Nov. 19, stating that if we want to keep the bench we bought, it will cost us $500 for five years. Our bench, as well as most of them, is in very good condition, requiring no maintenance from the borough. I don't believe we were told when we purchased the bench that we would be required to pay every five years to keep it. I think this is a shame for the borough to try and pull this on us.
