Avalon - Many people took the opportunity in the late 1960s to vote for candidates opposed to Medicare or candidates opposed to civil rights legislation. These politicians and these voters seem laughable now. Let's be careful, voters. We don't want our grandchildren laughing at us in 15 years when they're studying recent U.S. history.
