Rio Grande - We have the outreach van in which five people sit around all day waiting to help junkies, paid for by a $100,000 grant. It’s here to stay whether it works or not because the county can get the grant every year. Why not a $100,000 van for veterans with a doctor, medicine, MRI, psychiatrist, social help like rent assistance, etc., all free? That’s something the county could be proud of instead of mollycoddling drug addicts.
