Lower Township - I think we can all agree that slavery in America was wrong. My complaint is that everything we read about the subject leads the reader to believe America invented slavery. It has been around throughout all recorded history and is still around today. If we are going to teach our youth about slavery in America, we should also teach that we were not the first and not the last.
