Tuckahoe - A local would never blatantly walk into a pedestrian crosswalk looking straight ahead with no concern for oncoming traffic, only visitors seem to do this. What a wonderful thing to teach their children. I especially love the visiting mothers who do this while pushing a stroller into the crosswalk fully expecting that the oncoming motorists are not distracted. Don't leave common sense at home, bring it with you to New Jersey. It may help save a life.
