Ocean City - Recent spouts about West Wildwood Police merging with another municipality only have it half right. All four police departments on the 'Five Mile Island" should be regionalized, and Lower Township should contract out law enforcement services for the Diamond Beach section so that there is one, unified, efficient and economical police department on the island. That should also include fire and EMS. Avalon and Stone Harbor should do the same. It is only petty politics, egos and desire for personal power that stands in the way of regionalizing these services.
