Cold Spring - I am tired of politicians calling Social Security and Medicare entitlements. I paid into it with payroll deductions for 45 years and my employer paid double what I paid. It is and always has been a supplemental retirement income and insurance. Welfare, SSI, food stamps, rental assistance, and medicaid are entitlements because those receiving it never paid for it.
