Rio Grande - Concerning the plight of correctional officers, I am really surprised officers do not confront Lodge 7 and demand answers. Why is there no seniority at the jail? Why is there no shift or job bidding that other unions provide? Are they paying dues for no representation? I would show Lodge 7 the door and hopefully the door will not slam their backsides on the way out. A union is supposed to represent the interests of officers. It's time to eliminate the "favorite child" policy and make the jail fair to all. It's time to interview other unions and explore options. Stay safe.
