I want to know why a house was allowed to be built on the corner

Wildwood Crest - I want to know why a house was allowed to be built on the corner of Jefferson and Seaview avenues, as it’s blocking a lot of views. Why didn’t they buy two houses, knock them down, and then put the house in the middle of the two lots? That would have been a little better.
