Avalon - A spouter in Avalon said they never see the storm drains cleaned. That is true. It is critical for basins to be cleaned monthly, and here is why, all lawn, street and gutter goo makes its way to the end of the gutter, and into the storm basins, which are under the grates at the low ends of streets. If not cleaned, and they are not yet, the gross goo percolates with bacteria, bugs, etc. Then, rain pushes all of this filth, which is as bad as sewage, into the ocean/bay. So, 600 basins/goo traps. It is trapped to vac it up. Why don't we?
