Sea Isle City - It is natural to resist criticism, but the small committee needs to realize that the overwhelming majority of parishioners, residents and visitors have contrary opinions to their plan to demolish the historic church for a spiritual center. People are appalled, quite frankly, flabbergasted, by the suggestion that this historic, charming 1884 church should be razed. The entire process lacked transparency and was approached with a condescending tone, pastor and committee above, rather than in solidarity with common parishioners. A community treasure is more important than their misguided desires.
