Wildwood Crest - A woman who felt the need to take her unleashed dog into the ocean to run on the sand bar is not special, and the local laws apply to her. Dogs are not permitted on the beach during the summer months. I would have happily signed the complaint against her had an officer been on the beach. But, that's why she was in the ocean after 6 p.m., right?
Moderator's Note:
An ordinance regulating domesticated animals on the beach for the Borough of Wildwood Crest states, "No person who harbors a domestic animal shall, during the months of May, June, July, August and September of each year, permit such animal access to or on the beaches of the Borough of Wildwood Crest," according to Capt. Robert Lloyd of Wildwood Crest Police Department.
