Avalon - Avalon Police think that putting a speed-monitoring device at the end of east 30th Street will slow cars down before the stop sign. Speeding in the north end occurs on the north-south freeways, some of the most heavily traveled roads in the borough! New chief, same results. That device was last used on a dead end street (W. 7th St.). How about protecting the people in Avalon instead by getting the speeders to slow down around the most densely populated area in the north end? That's what those devices are supposed to do.
