Wildwood Crest - In regard to crowding on Jefferson and Washington avenues in the Crest, 90 percent of the out-of-towners taking advantage of the free parking and free beach do not spend any money during their visit. I see it, they come from the direction of Diamond Beach (let's not discount the campgrounds), and unload their coolers, thus no reason to spend money. As a result of the crowding on these two streets, the beach patrol has to station the guards closer together, the trash cans overflow, and I'm sure the porta potties fill up quicker. Beach tag and parking permit revenue would offset costs.
