Del Haven - Ever since we can remember, we have been told not to be on the phone while driving, as it is distracting. However, recently, I have noticed that at lights or even on the Parkway, I have seen drivers texting or talking to someone on the phone. Surprisingly, even though police are the ones who enforce these rules, they have been seen texting while driving even though they know that it causes so many accidents. According to CDC [Centers for Disease Control and Prevention], "Each day in the United States, approximately 9 people are killed and more than 1,000 injured in crashes that are reported to involve a distracted driver." I'm happy they are cracking down on the no-texting-while-driving rule.
