Avalon - The recent $1.7 million judgment against West Wildwood demonstrates the need for large-scale municipal consolidation in New Jersey. The fact is that the whole of Cape May County does not even qualify as a big city and could easily and efficiently be governed by a single entity. Leaving these small municipalities to manage themselves will continue to lead to inefficient local government at a great cost to the citizens and taxpayers.
