Jeff Van Drew rants about socialism while simultaneously supporting beach replenishment with no sense of the irony of it. Beach replenishment is a total waste of tax dollars. There will always be a beach. Too bad if your house is too close to it. Taxpayers shouldn’t have to finance the protection of wealthy beach town home owners. Let nature take its course. We shouldn’t have to prop up the tourism industry either because that is the socialism that the repubs always whine about. Hopefully the new House and Senate will cut beach replenishment and let whatever happens just happen.
