While the total wipeout of the GOP at the national level is definitely something to celebrate, there is nothing to celebrate at the local level. The county commissioners, mayors, and committeemen that won all have the same "build on every last piece land" mentality. They still think "growth" is good thing. It isn't. Cutting down every tree to build more houses does nothing to improve the lives of existing residents. Relentless development is destroying CMC. No local politician cares anything at all about preserving nature, conservation, protecting wildlife. They just want to build everywhere!
