The city is losing a ton of taxes with that dirt lot on JFK and it’s hitting them hard on their budget and they need that tax flow. An empty lot doesn’t bring in enough so they will work with the owner to put up a building so the taxes go up. No brainer there. This could have been everted if the construction official, mayor and some council would have let him build years ago. Now they need revenue so they will let him build.
