Why have none of our local, county or state officials not called for a suspension of the NJ tax on gas or diesel to help us out. New Jersey's total gas tax rate is 49.1 cents per gallon for gasoline and 56.1 cents per gallon for diesel fuel, following an increase that took effect on January 2026. We need help and it time for someone to raise this issue with the governor.
