When we get married; we enter as we are. Staying as we are would be catastrophic for our marriage. It’s like this when we ask Jesus Christ for forgiveness. Initially we are covered in our bad decisions and sin. But through his mercy and grace we are cleansed and slowly we shake off our messy past and grow closer and deeper in love with our creator and savior through the in indwelling of the Holy Spirit.
