I have to assume he flood damaged golf cart that started the house fire was electric. Most are lately and I’m grateful no one was injured and my heart goes out to those that lost their home. I just hope this is not the canary in the coal mine and the same thing that happened in Florida and elsewhere. Salt water and electricity don’t mix unfortunately, and although salt water can and does damage gas cars, they rarely spontaneously combust when flooded. It’s time to reassess the viability and safety of electric vehicles before someone dies. Gasoline prices will drop, death is forever.
