The majority of politicians are missing the mark when it comes to ensuring that individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities can strive and thrive in our Cape May County and beyond. There are barriers and limitations for getting married, ensuring supports, and housing. Some of these restrictions were implemented during COVID. They haven't changed since and don't reflect everyone living with a disability. Something needs to change and it needs to happen, sooner rather than later. I implore all elected officials to open their minds and see what we can accomplish without limits.
