I saw the ad end with the words: “Paid for by the U.S. Government.” We should be able to look at something like this and say, this is not how taxpayer money should be used. My taxes should not be paying for political messaging designed to make me like or support the person currently in office. Neither should yours. If a Democrat did it, I’d say the same thing. If a Republican did it, I’d say the same thing. If an Independent did it, I’d say the same thing. Maybe that’s the part we’ve forgotten lately. Not everything has to be about picking a team and defending the jersey.
