UPenn’s Wharton School completed a study on the economic impact of ICE raids on local economies. They found ICE raids prompted a 2.9% drop in foot traffic and a 6.9% drop in consumer spending in targeted areas. That amounts to 8.1 billion fewer visits and up to $14 billion in lost spending during the first year of Trump’s second administration. Fear kept shoppers and workers away from targeted areas for months after the raids, and they did not switch to online or delivery channels. We are winning, winning, so bigly winning! MAGA.
