ICE is arresting a record number of pregnant women and teens. These women aren't getting the prenatal care they need. ICE recorded 18 miscarriages in the first 9 months of the Trump administration. But they have no data on miscarriages after October 3rd 2025. We have no idea how many women in ICE detention have lost their babies over the past 11 months. If a woman miscarries in ICE detention the US govt will just shrug. But if you have a miscarriage in a state that has fetal personhood language in its abortion laws, you may find yourself facing a police investigation and criminal charges.
