The House is in another long recess. Through mid-September 2026, the U.S. House of Representatives has held floor votes on approximately 72 days out of roughly 260 calendar days. This is abysmal attendance and will get even worse with another two month recess. Nothing is getting done. The Republican majority leadership ought to all be thrown out of office for malfeasance and ignoring their legislative responsibility. At the least they should only be paid a portion of their salaries for this less than part time job.
