9/11 is an event that changed every facet of life that we once knew. It will be an event like pearl harbor, like the Kennedy shooting that will freeze people in time due to its significance. I was driving into work at a university at the time and had the new on the radio when word of the first crash broke then quickly a second. At that point I knew it was no accident. By the time I reached my office life as we knew it changed. I worked in athletics and we began wrestling with canceling games and how long we allow ourselves to stay down based on the events. The sadness and concern for people you knew and never knew was palpable. I knew people in the towers that day some lived and some didn’t. Never forget.
