The 7-mile bike lanes are unsafe. Dune drive in Avalon is basically 4 lanes from town into S.H. The cars ride the bike lanes due to the deplorable road conditions often using the poorly marked "bike lane" making travel dangerous. Same applies to S.H. bike lane conditions for much of the island. The county maintains Ocean drive, which is great for long stretches, but obviously no bike lane available. One would think maintaining safe roads with high volume traffic would be a priority for Avalon and S.H.
