I was in a work meeting when a colleague ran in to say a plane hit the towers.We continued meeting until the second plane hit, then spent the rest of the day trying to contact my colleague who was in a meeting at the Marriott next to the towers and my one son living in NYC and another who lived near the Pentagon in DC. Altho I got ahold of my kids right away and they were OK, my colleague was in the destruction, alive, scared, and running/walking to get out of Manhattan. We didn’t connect until late in the day. He lost his car, luggage, materials etc. but grateful to be alive. He never spoke to what he witnessed.
