RE: Spout asking why all kids should be getting free breakfast & lunch. I worked food service @ a local middle school. 1. Nothing is "free" taxpayers are on the hook in 1 way or another. 2. We offered breakfast to kids- they just needed to get off the bus and come to the cafe. The principal decided that we would deliver it every morning to each class. We didn't mind delivering it but lets be clear- its enabling. Enabling parents not to parent and kids to be lazy. If hungry- we had it for them in the cafeteria. The principal wanted the PR that he increased kids "access" to breakfast.
