Ocean City let George go. So what does Sea Isle plan to do? Rumors are circulating about who may be next in line, yet there wasn’t a word about it at today’s Council meeting. Why? Not one ad posted for his job like Ocean City posted last month. If changes are being considered, tell the public. Transparency shouldn’t begin after a decision has already been made. And residents have every right to question whether personal relationships play too large a role in hiring and appointments. Jobs should go to the most qualified people. Not because of who someone knows or their relationship to anyone.
