Cape May County

Cape May County is booming—larger homes, new condos and development are everywhere, bringing millions in new tax revenue. Yet the people doing some of the county’s dirtiest and most dangerous work are struggling to make ends meet. Some CMCMUA employees have gone from paying nothing for health insurance to nearly $20,000 a year, while the cost of living has skyrocketed. These workers accepted the risks of wastewater work believing they could earn a decent living and provide good healthcare for their families. The MUA’s most valuable asset isn’t a building or a piece of equipment it’s people!!!
