Cape May County

It is clear that allowing land use decisions to be made by township planning and zoning boards was a mistake. They are unwilling and unable to say no to anything. They grant rubber stamp approvals for every residential development presented to them. The planning and zoning board members are all friends with those that stand to get rich building houses. So of course everything gets approved. The State should oversee all land use decisions with State planning boards that will act to protect land, stop developments that should not be allowed to proceed.

Moderator's Note: If the land to be developed is zoned a certain way, the board members are supposed to follow the law. Are you saying that they are granting variances to the ordinance?
