Upper Township

While reading the Bill Barlow article in the June 29th edition of the Herald about the NJ State Police mistakenly entering a Dennis Township residence without a warrant with guns drawn, it reminded me of a story I heard some years ago. NJ State Troopers from the Woodbine barracks raided an Upper Township residence and property with guns drawn with one trooper armed with an assault rifle. Apparently, the troopers acted on an erroneous and unverified report of an individual making terroristic threats while armed. Are the Woodbine NJ State Police prone to “jumping the gun”, overzealous?
