It seems LCMR is doubling down on the wrong approach. It has been widely accepted that a career in the trades is more economically viable than ever, while a college degree is much less so. Yet rather than steering even the low performing academic students into the trades, LCMR is pushing them toward dual credit college classes. No one wonders anymore why the person serving them their latte is a college grad, while the plumber is driving a $60k SUV. Except maybe those running LCMR.
