It’s said socialism is great until they run out of other people’s money and in NYC that’s happening already. Spend $100 million to slash grocery prices by 30% for a relatively small group of people? That’s not affordability, it’s fiscal suicide. Once tax paying bodegas go out of business food will be out of reach for many. Who wants to take 3 trains or buses to shop?
