Just read an article about the payout to police in local towns upon retirement and the cost involved. It was that long ago Wildwood Crest extended a Chief’s contract by one day into the New Year. This unable the former chief to carry forward a year of vacation, holiday and personal time. It needlessly cost the Boro thousands of dollars. It’s never been done for any other employee, ever!
