NW Police, years ago a couple of Class II officers would walk the inlet beach and “remind” people they can’t smoke, & that dogs aren’t allowed during lifeguard hrs & need to always be leashed regardless. Please return to that practice. In the last 2 days, 2 separate dogs accompanied their owners (one unleashed) for a beach day by the seawall. 1 guy was smoking the whole time too. Visitors see these things and assume it’s ok then we end up with big problems because the small ones were ignored. Preempting a comment, no I didn’t say something to them. I’m not a cop.
