As far as short term rentals - very often these properties are owned by corporations- not even a single person. These corporations come into a neighborhood- buy up the houses - then turn them into hotel like rooms. Why isnt our town doing anything to stop this? No one wants to live next to that . At the very least these corporations should be taxed to the utmost highest degree.
