You’ve got to love how, in Wildwood, someone with convictions for racketeering, illegal gambling, extortion, aggravated assault, and a lengthy prison sentence can be celebrated as a local celebrity. I’m all for redemption and second chances, but it’s worth remembering who we choose to spotlight. The Chamber should be highlighting the business owners and community members who worked hard, played by the rules, and did everything they could to succeed the right way, not those whose notoriety came from a criminal past.
