The American Legion Post canteen, even open for just a couple of hours, still brings veterans, the Sons of the American Legion, the Auxiliary, and the community together. It’s a simple but important way to honor veterans and keep support strong for parades and community events that carry out the Post’s mission! Many non Veterans support Veterans because of their family member service. Veterans’ families deal with separation and stress. Combat can also bring lasting trauma into the home.
