The AFSCME board is doing exactly what they were elected to do stand up for the membership. The real issue is upper management acting like they’re never wrong and refusing to listen to employee concerns. When leadership ignores problems, morale suffers and legal issues follow. Just look at the growing lawyer fees. Council needs to start paying attention because employees deserve respect, accountability, and leadership that works with them, not against them.
