It has been two months since the Public Information Officer apparently was handed a $115,000 job as payment for stepping down as commissioner, yet we still have questions about transparency and the promise from Desiderio and Lare that she will make county government better. The public deserves clear communication about her role, responsibilities, and how she is serving the county beyond posting ribbon cuttings and free meals. If transparency is truly the goal, we should be provided with more direct access to information on how public funds are being used. Make it stop. Taxpayers deserve better.
