Re: New Township Rec director comment: It is concerning when comments imply that leadership positions should be based on ‘Who is running’ rather than qualifications, experience and ability to perform the job. Positions within the township should be based on merit and professionalism regardless of gender. Suggesting that a role is more appropriate for a man undermines the accomplishments and capabilities of qualified individuals and shifts the focus away from what truly matters- serving the community effectively.
