All of the Cape May County officials whose comments were quoted in the Herald’s article on e-bikes were on the money, education over enforcement is the way to go. I ride an e-bike for exercise and rarely go over 15 MPH amd never exceed 20. I wear a helmet and gear that makes me more visible. I obey all traffic laws and try not to get in cars way. I see many that do none of those things and unfortunately sometimes are injured. Just because you’re on an e-bike doesn’t mean you’re invincible. If you ride crazy be sure to fill out an organ donor card and have great medical insurance.
